If one of those 3 teams beat the other two. The two beaten teams would have a minimum points tally of 40 or 41 points. Our maximum, assuming a loss today is 41 points. We can not be mathematically relegated today

Wondered if anyone would spot my deliberate mistake. :-)

So all we need is Blackburn to beat Bristol and Forest then lose the rest and both Forest and Bristol to lose every game and us to win every game with a 40 odd swing in goal difference and we're safe.
