Where's the link Dave?
As gaz explained on another thread, Swindon have a fierce rivalry with Gillingham. I can remember meeting a Bolton fan at a World Cup and he mentioned that they did not like Wolves. I cannot remember if he said it was to do with being called Wanderers or not but a slightly unexpected rivalry.
What other unusual rivalries does anyone know of?
Where's the link Dave?
Pal@rse and Brighton puzzles me. It makes me think of Brighton as a bit of a Gillingham pikey bunch who latch onto anything and anyone to create a bit of something to big note their sad selves
I'll go again -
Bastids and Clarets??? What's that all about? These two clubs are so close together they might as well merge into one.
Hi gaz,
I wasn't intending to add a link just start a thread! However, here is a good article re Eagles and Seaweeds

West Ham v Millwall used to be called Thames Ironworks and Millwall Athletic.
The rivalry comes from the dockers working at the docks each side of the Thames.
Trick what part of strange rivalries do you not understand?
