Also there and agree with the above. The goals came out nothing, couldn't see them scoring until then. Really good performances from Cooper, Perry NG, Ainley (although he seems to lack fitness to get through 90), Jones, Wintle and Zooms. We played some lovely stuff, agree about Daggers, there we re several awesome balls fired into the box and he should of been on the end of at least one of them. Bingham was fine when they had one up top, between him and Perry they worked it well, when they went to 2, that put Billy under pressure as he is less of a heading defender shall we say, thought Perry coped well (think we may have a real decent defender there). What I liked about it, was after the second goal, we just camped in there half and they were hanging on for dear life, also under Davis after our goal, we would have shut up shop, but no so with this lot now, we were after a second, it just never came. Lots of reasons to be optimisitic.
Vale have gone down with a gang of no hopers and hardly any of their own produced players, we had 7 out of the 11 have gone through our system (I include Wintle), and we have some real prospects. 2 or 3 solid pro's in that team and we can challenge next year.
David Fox came third in all their Player of the year awards !!! I can confirm he is still dreadful, never got near Jones or Wintle (other than to commit a foul)

Many thanks for both very informative reports. I had at least enjoyed a season free of Vale numpties invading the forum, but that will no doubt re-start now that Vale have been relegated.

Certainly signs that we should be more optimistic about next season, though the prospect of promotion chasing may require DA to make some key signings. I hope his due diligence pays off.
