I've been wading my way through Casey, as I said I would and interestingly (or not) I have been unable to find the 'quotes' that appear in the National Review article cited by kempo. That takes the notion of cherry picking to a new level.

I find it quite amusing that in discussions between ill-informed halfwits on a football forum that some people take themselves so seriously they go to the trouble of checking other posters' references. Laughable. I have occasionally been amused by statements on here but it has never occurred to me to take any of them seriously. Well, only perhaps gwru's racing tips.

K, you will note our favourite sleuth has not commented on my post regarding Iram Ramzan's views from a female Muslim perspective which basically suggest our gang of left-wing Islamophile nut jobs on here have been spouting rubbish. 1. I’m a bit of an infrequent visitor to this message board. Hadn’t looked at it for a couple of days. So sorry if I have hurt your ego by not immediately jumping in to address your posts. You obviously had a lot to get off your chest.

2. I have no strong opinions on Mehdi Hasan. I have merely posted an article that he’s penned because I thought it raised some interesting points, which ran counter to some of the views on this message board. So it was worthy of discussion on this thread. Some agreed with Hasan’s article and some haven’t. This is a message/discussion board after all.

3. Some on this board hero worship Tommy Robinson. I find him and his politics and methods distasteful but if people want to idolise him and claim that there’s a lefty/state conspiracy against him, then fine - that’s their business. His criminal convictions are a matter of record and judging by his record he’s a bit of a thug and a fraud.

It’s because you’ve called me an “outright hypocrite” and levelled a few other insults and accusations at me, when you know nothing about me that I feel you are just not worth the effort of a substantive response. Name calling and insults – very mature.
