    Strangely mac...I used to dislike Heseltine and despise Ken Clarke when they were in the cabinet. They both seem totally reasonable now but of the current bunch...absolutely not.

    I once listened to Ken Clarke at a hustings in SlabSquare in Notts he is very likable but he was very drunk I see Ladbrokes have Hammond red hot favorite to be Tory leader inside 30days That should be interesting a staunch remainer negotiating Brexit for us Remember him in Nov2015 accepting a £1,950 watch from Saudi prince when ministers are forbidden from accepting gifts of more than £140. As I said its hard to find a good Tory

    Now before you get all wet..a) did he declare it? b) what was the official response? c) did he pay the difference or tax?

    When Heseltine quit over the Westland Affair (I believe), I wrote a short essay that it wasn't gonna be the end of him, we'll be hearing more and I believe he would succeed Thatcher some day. 4 years or so later, I was nearly proven right. But he did cause the end of Thatcher.
