I'd have been disappointed about this at one time, but not now.
We need a much harder resilient type of player now.

I think he'll forge a decent career in Scotland. He has quality. But if he adds that steel to his game (remember he is only 21) he could be a very good player.

It'll be interesting to see if he suddenly blossoms and stars for Partick because that would open up questions about the quality of coaching and development he'd had in the last year from Ray, Mixu and anyone before (you know who)

Didn't he spend a lot of last season out through injury? Harsh to place any blame on McKinnon for that.

Not sure how much he missed Wullie. But I worry generally about the quality of the coaching and development at Tannadice.

How was it not possible to get Erskine fit to last 90
How come Telfer didn't continue improving once joining us
How is it that Flood cannot take a set piece and fails so often to keep possession
Murrell, supposedly one for the future - released
Play a one man up top (Mikkelson) for weeks on end and expect him to score from high punts up the park

    etc

To be fair Stoke, there are players who have departed who have pointed out that coaching was an issue! But that was during the Sackie and Mixu show who have left the next manager with a shell of a team. Ray has shown he can improve a player with Durnan, and i think we started to see that in Murray and Spittal towards the end of the season! 2 players who will come back and bite us in the erse!
