Hey Sax, hope your well.
I think Mowbray is showing us that he knows exactly what works in this division. That's the key. At this level the manager who has a clear plan, and experience will be the difference. That was Boltons biggest success last season. getting Parkinson in before the season starts. Its not a place for a whole team of young unproven kids. Its a mans league. Its tough, more physical than the Champ. You need experience, an element of class, and toughness. The signing of Whittingham for 2 fold. Its a huge statement of intent. Its tells everyone of our rivals who we are. Its also entices the better players in the division to be part of what we are trying to build. Some players can go. I really like Mulgrew, but he is way too good for that level. Plus he is way too injury prone, we couldn't rely on him. But he is class. I think Whittingham is here to replace him. For me, Steele can go. We have Rayas who is no worse. And we can get money for him. But the likes of Lenihan we MUST keep. Having seen Vaughan at Bury, its a big nope from me. Its something being half decent for Bury down at the bottom of the league, where you are heavily relied on. To play for Rovers, who will be going for promotion, its a no. He dropped to this level from the top, for a reason. Rochdale have 2 excellent strikers, I know we are looking at one of them, who will cost around £800k.
