Events of late are pushing to the surface what many of us have said for years and years .
It always seems that it takes a tragedy on this scale to occur before the wake up call arrives .
Profit is king and greed is good and to fuq with anything else .
I thought Emily Thornbury summed it up well last night on QT , the bottom line is safety and people's lives .
The bottom line clearly means something different to others who make profit the only show in town .
You can hide away all you want in the short term but very soon you are going to have to answer for yourselves .
There won't be an establishment cover up here , not in the present political climate , you can be at least safe in that knowledge .
Hear, Hear.....!
Queen turns up but no May

Angry people outside the town hall and rightly so
They saved £5000 !
The flame retardent insulation was £2 per square metre more expensive so they went for the cheaper stuff....
They saved £5000...
Germany bans this stuff above the height the normal fire brigade units can reach - a total ban.
Tories vetoed Labour ammendments to commit landlords to make rented accommodation fit for purpose and safe.
You can't say this isn't political !
2017 in the richest borough in the UK...or one of them..
....."The Royal Borough of Kensington"
It is shocking and disgusting, some are claiming that the "nicer" looking cladding was put on so it appeased the rich kensington neighbours. The problem with the nice looking cladding is that it wasn't safe in a fire. The fact that councillors couldn't face the residents shows they have something to hide.
Up and down the country, safety, whether it is in buildings or on trains or wherever, is compromised as a means to cut costs. Who bears the brunt of this, ordinary fecking people. This has been going on for donkey's years and it only gets highlighted when it is too late.
Those working class idiots who vote Tory on here need to remember that the people with wealth in this world don't give a monkeys about the ordinary working man. Our rulers and "betters" must be pretty pissed off they can't blame terrorists for this atrocity.
The nice looking cladding was installed to give better insulation for the property, a new communal heating scheme was installed at the same time plus other changes. The politics of envy and foolishly trying to blame "capitalism " doesn't really apply unless you're a bit weak in the head.
Roly I don't normally comment on politics on here.
To blame all cuts on tories is just wrong I've been working with South Yorkshire fire and rescue and the watch commander yesterday was telling me that under labour they didn't have enough crews to cover South Yorkshire because of the cuts.
No politicians give a **** about anyone apart from themselves irrespective of what they say.
I'm not a Tory supporter but I think that everyone on here making a reference to a certain party in times like this is just sick and twisted to gain the moral high ground.
Why can't everyone just help the affected instead of using this to make a political point.
Disgusting and low point scoring.
