Murdoch Durnan Edge Scobbie is first choice back 4. Ballantyne will cover right back and Robson will cover left back. As someone else said, Scobbie will move into centre if Durnan or Edge are missing. Over and above that we still have Toshney and Donaldson for centre back.

Can't justify signing more defenders when we only have Flood in centre mid, only Keatings up front and an unproven kid as back up for Bell. If by some miracle we move Donaldson on we may be able to afford a replacement but can't see that happening.

Edje brutal at times? That's a bit uncharitable. He's no Heggy but wouldn't describe him as 'brutal'.
I saw Robson play once at left central defence for the devs last season & he was surprisingly good, wouldn't be surprised if that's his natural position. And he'll be bulking up too. Was surprisingly good in the air & had good positioning.
