o/ Does the region you were born in have any bearing on your character?

Just watching all the Cornish people being interviewed after the flash flood last night.

Loads of comments along these lines:

" we will roll up our sleeves and get on with it. That's what Cornish people do"

" Cornish people are tough, it won't get us down"

" Cornish people pull together in a crisis"

Thing is the people of any town affected by a flood come out with the same comments and ascribe their toughness, and coping strategies to the region they live in.

I'll be honest this has started to pi ss me off big time. Does the place we were born and raised have any bearing on our qualities?

Are people more courageous in Cornwall?

I think it's a load of boll locks.
