True heroes .
I have so much respect for the ones that not only died but for the ones who returned home with their horrible memories.
I aint fit to lace their boots.
True men .
Ps also very scared men no doubt.

I will always remember an interview of one of the last living survivors of the battle of Verdun about 20 odd years ago.
Even though for the guy that was interviewed it was almost 80 years ago, the memories and the horrors that he experienced were so strong that he kept breaking down during the interview. It was absolutely gut wrenching to watch and to listen to. Bless em all the poor phuckers...whatever their nationalities....who were sent to their deaths.
