Poorly worded and definitely not our best bit of PR , surely someone at the club should be proof reading items before they go public , another phuck up by the current regime and unfair on the player

Totally disagree. What's poorly worded? Just an excuse to criticise the club. 😴

    CLUB STATEMENT RE BELL.

    link to website

Following on media rumours blah blah Cammy Bell free transfer, club would like to point out the player has a valuation etc, we would only listen to sensible offers.

Manager / players focused etc.. The club will make no further comment at this time.

    -took me 2 mins.

FWIW, from player / agent / club, it's not been handled properly and I think last nights statement was a public f*** you.

I didn't know cammy was commuting from Annan - that is a hefty commute and does make you question his long term commitment to the club.

Anyway - we have him under contract for another year and he's obviously good enough. From last season I'd happily have him as keeper for next year. If club wanted to they could have ended speculation and not bought other keepers

Strikes me that attempt by club to get whatever money can for a sellable player and replace with cheap buy / loans.

It has been mishandled. The best way to sell is through using the media - we don't want to sell have to be a good offer to consider it etc as bright side has set out.

That the thing has been blown up as it has shows united to look desperate and disrespectful.

I also think it has to be looked at in context of fire sale of any sellable talent over the last few years - any player we can sell we are desperate to get any money we can rather than managing to get players to commit to club longer term

Not seeing why the the club's taking so much flak here, Cammy's been wanting away for months now ......because he discovered Dundee is not the next village to Annan ....doh!

Ray accepted and did something about i.e. Went and got a couple of goalies........didn't last minute panic on a sushi eating flapper who was on a three month delivery wait ( Mixed up ) or grab a couple of pub team keepers (Sackie) like before.

Clubs got this one right ....feck Cammy , his agent and the Daily Retard, The Sun( sponsored by Andrex)' ****ter and DeeCT

You're only as good as your last game ......so tattie bye Cammy, there's new kids on the block now.

    Onwards and upwards.

I thought Bell had been unfairly treated. Then he went greeting to the Sun newspaper.
Making out he's whiter than white, we wouldn't have signed 2 goalkeepers (one on loan) if there was no reason to suggest he wanted to leave.
Sooner he goes the better as we don't need these sideshows. Need total commitment towards promotion rather than a Cammy Bell soap opera.
However no disguising the club have made a big error with this.

Releasing a statement like that is just opening ourselves up for bad press. Cammy Bell's interview this morning (doesn't matter if true or not) has made us look bad. If united feel they need to say something on the matter then leave that to Ray. Instead by doing this we've asked for attention when all that was needed was for Ray to have said "We've brought in 2 fantastic GK's to challenge Cammy for that #1 jersey, if the right bid comes in for Cammy the club will not stand in Cammy's way if he wants to move".

This is being blown out of proportion by some. FFS how often in the past have we heard players being put on the transfer list or being allowed to leave for a fee. So the club keep supporters informed ( a usual criticism is for not doing so ) by putting it on the website. It seems these news headlines are then automatically put on the clubs twitter feed. Again keeping supporters informed.

Don't really use twitter and can understand some folk think it's wrong to have it on there but ffs chill oot and keep things in proportion. Not easy for some of our fans I accept. Also quite clear that Bell/agent/media appear to be at it.

PS Who the phuk cares what Huns have to say on anything to do with United. Irrelevant, obsessed , bigoted, bitter bstrds. That is all.
