LOL, so you can tell where people live by their accent in the small crowd around your section of the ground.
How do you not know if their from the toon and moved out to the shire?

The 2017 AGCC report showed that 88% of the support used some forms of transport to get to the game and only 12% purely walked

The vast majority of the Pittodrie attendees use some form of transport and as such, Kingsford provides a better option for those travelling to the game

Maybe easier to get to but parking and getting out will be a nightmare.

I'm yet to be convinced of this.
The AWPR should make it easier to get the traffic away from the ground.
I've seen traffic still queuing to leave the Pittodrie area / Golf Links / Beach etc an hour after the game finishes

Personally if moving to Kingsford is what's best for AFC im all for it, sad to leave Pittodrie of course and I'm only a 30 minute walk away but we need a new stadium with state of the art training facilities.

Just to say though it really is a pity we can't upgrade Pittodrie apparently 🤔

Parking and getting out of Aberdeen on a match day is already a bloody nightmare. It cant possibly be any worse.

    LOL, what stereotypical bull****.

I'm a "toonser" who's moved out of town.
    So is Mek

But of course, the majority of fans all stay within 5 yards of the ground, so it would be a shame to make them go through the same travel arrangements as the half dozen who stay outside of aberdeen.

All those cars parked all around the city on game days must just be shopping.
As I showed above, only 12% purely walk to Pittodrie. Everybody else must come from somewhere

When i was a loon Westhill, Bridge of Don , Portlethen and Inverurie were 10% of the size they are now. I didn't want to join this debate but how many teenagers (say) from Kincorth , Northfield or Torry are going to get out to Kingsford? Doesn't matter where it is it's still a drive. Mind you once they have 2.2 kids and a house in the commuter belt they'll have loads of time to go to (insert greenbelt location of your choice).

Not the location that's the problem it's the lack of infrastucture.

Really. 31% do not travel by car. How many of the 12% of walkers will then choose the option of a car along with the 10% who bus it then walk and the 9% who already use the bus. Very few of the those people will be able to take a single bus to the game and even fewer will be walking. I can see the new ststistic of car travellers if the current crowds are maintained being in excess of 80% if they don't mind the traffic.

I'm no spring chicken, but none of these areas (maybe Westhill apart) are tenfold their size from when I was a loon.

Its arguably just as easy, if not easier to get to Kingsford from Northfield than it is to Pittodrie.
Theres a bus that goes out past the Lang Stracht

I agree there are infrastructure challanges, of which the AWPR will no doubt help and be a vast improvement on Pittodrie.
Theres also greater opportunity for further development than there is at Pittodrie.

Staying at Pittodrie means a likely over time reduction in revenue.
change give us the opportunity to advance.
