As far as me going to specsavers. I would have carried Shane Long to Hull naked for what we sold him for. How was that deal not getting it right? I suppose the Berahino deal was wrong as well or flogging Greening for more money than he was worth or Curtis Davies or Enzo Maresca. The list is endless of great deals this club has got for players. Saying three players and then making sweeping statements about the club getting it never getting it right is just ridiculous.
You will need to prove Fletcher is on more money at Stoke or I ay believing ya. Maybe he didn't fancy running up hills all summer.
Quality doesn't have to cost loads of money Vardy cost Leicester £1m

But Pulis is not the one negotiating - don't you get it! The money men just won't ever pay the going rate and try to get players for peanuts! Well many would rather have Shane Long back even now than Rondon - at least Long has got pace and knows where the net is. Then again lets all blame Pulis for Rondon missing sitters that a school kid could score. Oh - I forgot he holds the fecking ball up well!

So are you saying Fletcher went to Stoke as the clayhead area appeals - bull****! It was for more cash which again West Brom were not prepared to pay!

Vardy was a one off and yes there are one offs still around but it's finding them. You pay more for quality - if you want decent vege and fruit you go to Waitrose or M and S - if you want it cheap and cheerful you go to Aldi where its usually out of date. Some of our players are out of date as they are devoid of pace and quality!

We have a couple of decent youngsters. Leko needs to be loaned out and look up and learn how to pass at crucial times. Field is a decent prospect but for me too light weight and again could do with a good kickin in the championship to learn his trade.

Admit it - you hate Pulis and no doubt drafting your whinge now if Bournemouth turn us over!!! Lets have a chat in the cricket club at Burnley - will you be there?

On the flip side I think there's great value out there, especially in the lower leagues. Gareth McCauley cost us nothing, Dawson cost us £500k from Rochdale. John Stones cost Everton £200k from Barnsley, Joe Hart cost Man City £500k from Shrewsbury. Harry Kane cost Spurs nothing. Mahrez cost Leicester £400k. Coutinho cost Liverpool £8m and they're talking about selling him for £120m.

There are gems out there, they just need to be found.
Yes we know their are gems out their 123 , like you say its finding them ? Easy !

Wicka man what's the difference between you constantly repeating pulis's training methods and style of play preventing players from signing and Al mentioning defoe and Bournemouth a lot?

Furthermore the long deal was terrible, Imo he was a good player and that great price we got for him was more than doubled when Southampton bought him less than 6 months later.

All about opinions mate. The Long deal in my view was good. He was a headless chicken. Played well in spells usually 10 minutes per game. It didn't take long for him to occupy a place on Saint's bench.
The big mistake was Anechebe. We effectively gave Everton the money to loan Lukaku for a year. We should have broke the bank to sign him.
I wish I didn't have to keep harping on about Pulis style but people are assuming players are not signing because we won't pay the rate. I'm just throwing another view into it.

Already admitted I hate Pulis. Did that months ago. I hated him at Stoke. My views are stronger now because I pay to watch the rubbish he serves up.
Not doing Burnley mate last time I went there was when we was in Division 3. We lost 2-1 I think. I missed our goal. It may have been Garner who scored it.

We can blame Pulis for Rondon. He signed him. If we can't then we can't credit him for signing Jonny Evans. Or does Pulis only sign the decent players? And it's someone else who signs the bad uns.
Long a goalscorer? Maybe if you compare him to Rondon or Ideye but not if you compare him to Odemwingie or Lukaku.

Thanks mate you've made my day. Lack of ambition from the board confirmed.
I truly hope I am wrong and all goes swimmingly well.

Lack of ambition from the board! This statement shows you are not a money person in business.

Finishing 10th for Lai with a threadbare squad and a huge profit is simply fantastic. Does Lai twist and invests 50 million plus to get higher. Consider Everton and what they spent/spend and do you think realistically we could get higher than them unless it's a fluke season.

So with little investment and the hope of finishing in the same position for 2017/2018 - it's no a no brainer for Lai to extend Pulis' contract. Again why would he want to twist and risk millions?

Whether you like it or not - or me - football is about results and points first at any cost and then entertainment. The reality is clubs don't even need fans anymore with the Sky money. Look at Bournemouth!

Perhaps you need to go watch a manager run a team like a Tony Mowbray - end to end and the defense conceding three goals and you got it - we lose 4-3.

Am I happy myself with the style of football - no not at all! I am just realistic and know Pulis does a decent job with the squad he has and the quality they lack. Not a managers fault that the ones with the purse strings won't pay the going rate for transfers or contracts to keep players. Pulis was gutted when Fletcher left for god sake - he did not leave because Stoke are better than us or Stoke is a leafy rich area with nice coffee shops - Fletcher was offered more cash!!! There lies your answer!

Seriously mate you talk about me not being a money man. Do you honestly think a good business decision is to buy a football club to make money?

Err that Mowbray team has been the only team in my lifetime to lift a trophy (not counting the play off). That mate is a memory which is more than we will get with Pulis. Unless you class Arsenal not being able to defend set pieces and gifting us a win.
People always use Mowbray as an arguement but just look at the quality in his teams with us. Then ask yourself how much those players cost. Kind of contradicts your arguement. Surely a far superior manager like our Tone can find quality at a similar price?

"Finishing 10th for Lai with a threadbare squad and a huge profit is simply fantastic." - Can't but agree with that, and, it is also what many (the majority?) of people outside our club think, makes you think, doesn't it...
