    Wasn't meant as an insult Outwood - and I enjoy the debates on here.

    Some very reactionary views on here - but I love them all :-)

    I used to be an ultra lefty back in the day.

    There has always been, and always will be, a level of corruption in high places. Not just here but in every country in the world.

    It will never change. If we had a peoples revolution then pretty soon the new leaders would become corrupt - be careful what you wish for.

    Power corrupts. Absolute power corrupts absolutely. We don't want a dictatorship thank you very much.

    At least we have a measure of democracy here - not like some countries.

    Which model do you suggest we use for running our affairs?

    Hi 59-60. I actually went to a school in the 60's which had a Sixth Form debating society. Can't remember if I ever spoke though!
