Alex Mowatt Joins Oxford United On Loan.

Midfielder heads to the Kassam Stadium for the remainder of the 2017/18 campaign.

Central midfielder Alex Mowatt has today joined League One side Oxford United on a season-long loan deal.

The attack minded Yorkshire-born player joined the Reds in the January transfer window but has struggled to cement a permanent place in Paul Heckingbottom’s side. With the fierce competition now within the squad, it has been decided that Mowatt would benefit from a loan move to enhance his career.

We would like to wish Alex the best of luck for his time at the Kassam Stadium and we will keep fans fully updated with his progress.
