Just maybe this could be Ashley's departure. If only in some way he could just take a hit and sell the club that is; which is unlikely. But looking at a chain of events over the summer window, some fool by the name of Barnes comes into play to make the club attractive for a buyer.

Barnes is directed to trim the wage bill to make the club look like an attractive investment and falsely Mia guides Rafa into thinking he needs to sell to buy. But really, they just want the books to look glossy and attractive for an investor. Yes it's wishful thinking but it could also be a smoke screen as every other window giving such excuses not to be able to invest further. It could be that their just playing on our minds keeping us content that ownership may change and that is why they have not invested in the squad.

But just maybe, and again just wishful thinking, just maybe this could be Ashley on his way out. He never goes public but this time, he goes on sky and clearly states the club is up for sale. I think he wants out but the only sad part is that the greedy fat pig does not want to take a hit on his investment and rather gamble the clubs future. Surely he should know, things can get a lot worse for him should the club get relegated.. look at Blackburn...if that happens to Newcastle, how much more value would he lose.

Ashley, just cut your losses and sell up!
