    Common sense dictates EFL has to adopt the same window. They should however, insist the FA/FIFA agree to it being the exact same process allowed for the Premier League. That means teams are allowed a further two hours after the deadline day cut off to process paperwork.

    That's always going to be the case, but at least once the season starts teams can concentrate on training, playing and winning instead of still settling in four games into the season.

    Even better, get rid of the transfer window completely, but make it so that players can only have one move a season.
