As stated on another thread it was my first visit to Molineux for about eighteen months. I was very impressed by the quality of the players, all looking very comfortable on the ball and even Danny looking to play quality balls out of defence. The young lad Vingare impressed with his trickery and took several raking accurate crosses down of his chest with confident ease. A great goal by Jota was worth the admittance fee alone.

The stats show that Wolves had about 70% of the ball but what it does not show was that much of that possession was created by passing the ball about in our own half. OK, starving the opposition of the ball, but you don't score many goals from your own half. Many of the accurate passes were to static players, but I would have liked to see more forward movement by runners and balls into their path. If we are going to win matches, we will need to win them with skillful football. It would appear we have the players to do that.

Early days and the signs are good, looking forward to Tuesday night, if my thighs have recovered.
