    Post The 2 up disease

The first time I can definitely remember experiencing being 2 up and throwing it away either with a draw or worse still losing, was at Wembley against QPR in, I think 1966. Since then I have always been on edge if they go two up. Once the euphoria of a second goal has died down I start to think here we go again. I would be interested to find out if any team since the war has given away two goal leads more than the Albion. I don't relax when they go three up if there is still 30 odd minutes on the clock. As soon as Watford got their first I knew that they would at the very least equalise if not go on to win. There are times I really hate Albion and what they consistently do to their fans and themselves.

To be fair it's not just Albion this happens to you see a lot of games where teams go 2-0 up early on and either draw or some even loose what really hurts is the guy has a free header for the equaliser, we are giving away some poor goals at the moment.

Psychologically its a dangerous scoreline. Team in front thinks theyve won, takes foot off gas. Team behind busts a gut to get in front and when they score tails are up and bursting for a second....team that was 2 up gets the jitters...other team gets a second goal and become firm favourites to win. Happens a lot.

I would still rather be two down and get a draw...then two up and get a draw....
The first feels better then the second....

You are far more likely to go on to win if you are 2 up than you are to get a point from being 2 down.
Check out Albion's results, or any other clubs, and this will verify my statement.
