[QUOTE=DerbyDaDream;38676381]Rowett speaks to Sky Sports about how brutal it is being a manager in the Sky Bet Championship and how he needs time to adjust to get things right at Derby

A long term plan isn't being helped by the signings he has made..Davies.hudds.Nugent ledley are not building a team they are stopgap add giving bent and Baird contracts to that too..if you are building for the future you buy young and mould them into a team .the players we are signing will have to be replaced every Couple of years .we need to build a team not 11 good players on a pitch who look like
    never met before

I agree we need to add more younger additions to the squad we have an overaging squad with the average age of 28 and the team that played recently against Bristol City were the average age of 30 or over.

We need fresher, pace and drive and you will get that with younger players but at the moment our squad is aging and all those traits have gone out of the window and that is something Rowett will have to change in January.

Except Rowett is saying that the focus will be on getting players out as he wants to slim the squad and reduce the wage bill. Plus up to now he has added older players saying that the squad needed experirnced players who had been there got the T shirt with regards to promotion.

Would you have a guess what wages Davies Huddleston Ledley and Nugent on?

The focus is still getting rid of the fringe players who Rowett sees is not in the long term future of the club. You need a mixture of experience and youth to grind out good results on the pitch on a consistent basis and currently we only have experienced players in the squad.

You think? Not really true...unless you think Lowe, Hanson, Lawrence, Thorne, Winnall, Wisdom, Weimann, Vydra and Bennett are all older and experienced in their early to mid twenties.

But how many of them are first team regulars .2 of the 9 maybe which would suggest we start games with 9 players over 26
