McFaul was very underestimated and a great servant go the Club. By the way Ash I’m 64 started going to the Toon when I was 6. I stopped going shortly after Ashley started pulling his stunts.

My Mother used to work at the Bovril Hut in the Gallowgate End and then moved to the shop at the top corner of the Popular End.

I remember one Winter game and the ground was so full we got passed over the men’s heads and sat on the straw behind the goal at the Gallowgate End
