There will be a lot of pushing and pulling going on with the contract, Both parties lawyers will be all over it trying to get the best deal.

I wonder if Rays lawyers are currently arguing that once we gel and everyone is fit we will be bang at it?

I thought that until this afternoon but beginning to think it might be something more than that

Everton played a day after us but announced their manager was sacked on Monday morning, its easy to do it when you have a mountain of cash, mark my words its a financial problem that's holding up the official announcement. For crying out loud troops its Stephen FN Thompson leading the negotiations

    Exactly.

Remember how long it took to get Ray on board I'm the first place. He's not gonna happily accept some bull**** pay off. I don't see why everyone is getting so upset at the fact it's not yet in The Sun or The Record. It'll happen ffs.

Ray was on a good, steady number at Raith and if ST hadn't interfered, he might still be there, collecting a lower wage, but a bit more security. In a sense ST put paid to that, obviously hoping for better things for Ray and United. Now that Ray has been brought crashing to the ground, he has to try and salvage what financial deal he can from United. After all, he will be remembered, at least in the short term, for his 'success' at United, rather than what he achieved at Raith. He could be on the dole for quite a while unless he wants to move to Largs?

Confirmed today that Utd are locked in talks with Ray's lawyers and until an agreement has been reached, no announcement will be made. Ray was told on Saturday he was being removed from his position as manager. Laurie Ellis to take training in the meantime. Now, can we all calm the **** down.

Dundee United and Ray McKinnon have mutually agreed the manager’s departure with immediate effect.
