One of the most entertaining games I've watched on telly for a long time. Lots of skill, energy, belief. Good movement, good finishing and certainly deserved the win.

What, you mean the Spanish? Notts have always had black players and no-one batted an eyelid. Pedro, Benji, Chiedozie, all great players.

The only tricky aspect of all of this is that some are eligible to play for other countries. Hudson-Odoi, for example, could theoretically choose Ghana instead of England at senior level. It's a bit like the Zaha situation, only these players are better. The best of them all though is Phil Foden, and he was born in Stockport, so we should be OK.

But the real point here is that maybe, just maybe, the Premier League and its importing of foreign talent is having a positive effect at the root of the British game. The young just see great players regardless of their nationalities. That has to be a good thing.

I must be colour blind because it never occurred to me at all during the game to analyse the ethnic origins of the English team.

Did I say it had anything to do with colour? I was merely celebrating the fact that the modern England youth footballer comes largely from a multicultural background but, yes, Foden, a Stockport lad was the standout player.

You weren't " celebrating " anything sid , unlike the rest of us who were celebrating a great England win , your just looking for an opportunity to start an argument .

Yes it was a great result and should be celebrated but unfortunately you only have to look at under 17 teams from years gone by to see that most of these lads will be playing lower league football in the future.
