    Cuddly Toy-Roachford , Cardiff , Sunday night

I went along to a new music venue( a converted church ) to watch this talented performer , following his appearance as a lead singer with Mike and the Mechanics on their recent tour. Along with about 150 others we were treated to a near 2 hour set which was full of quality in every way. Included in the evenings entertainment were covers of a Stevie Wonder 'b' side and a great version of Bill Withers " Ain't No Sunshine" which went down very well. For the encore he was on his own for 20 mins playing his keyboard (and reminding me of Stevie Wonder) before his band came back on stage to join him. By this time ,the audience were right in the groove , on their feet and appreciating the quality that was in front of them. He also threw in a Mike and Mechanics song "Over My Shoulder" before a lively finale which included Sly /Family Stones "Family Affair" , Family Man and the ever popular Cuddly Toy to finish off.
If you get chance to see him don't hesitate. You will have a great time. He has still got it in every sense and he just excels with his unique voice and playing the keyboard to the highest standard. A great night by a great performer.

Just type Andrew Roachford on YouTube and you'll have a decent choice of songs he's done.

Nice to hear that he's still doing the rounds,I used to like Cuddly Toy plus a few of the follow up singles that never get played on the radio,it would be nice to hear some of those instead of the usual top ten stuff that's always gets p!ayed
