    Perspective

Now the dust has settled after the Derby game and I've calmed down (a bit), let's look at the reality. After wanting all the players (except saiz) replaced and TC gone, I now look and think, at the beginning of the season would I have been happy after 15 games at owning elland road and being 7th in the league?.....yes I would.....as for the last 3 home games, it's very slim margins, against Reading a last second penalty miss cost us a point, against Sheffield, yes outplayed in the first half, but not the second, saiz hits the post and it hits the keeper and goes to safety, we score and hold out for a win, minutes later we're 2-1 down and out, against Derby at 1-0 we're looking good, lassoga misses a golden chance to make it 2 -0, at 2-0 we hold out to win, they equaliser and get a fortuitous penalty. That's 7 points we could and should have had, instead we have none.....7 points and we'd be in 3rd, 2 points off top.....everyone happy, no complaints, as I said, slim margins......let's win at Brentford and go again.......MOT.

    An astute,rational,logical,shrewd .......... thread.
What the hell are you doing on 'ere ? 😆😆😆
    Perspective, mmmm .......
Houston Astros baseball team won their first World Series this week.Famously, there was a 'Sports Illustrated' magazine cover in 2014 (after Houston had lost more than 100 games for three straight years) that proclaimed: "Your 2017 World Series Champs" and featured a picture of Houstons George Springer in a bright Astros jersey and the baseball world all fell about laughing.
In short in 2014 the Houston franchise drew up a 3 year plan bucking the latest Baseball trends, signed up promising young talent using modern statistical analysis & used old fashioned training methods stunning World baseball experts by winning the Series ..........
Lessons to be learned ......... 🤔
Keep up that Positivity NorfolkWhite !

Good post. Yes things have gone wrong, but it's good to see that everything isn't bad.

I totally agree with the purchase of ER being the highlight of this season.

The management want a top six place to end the season and if we achieve that then I will be happy as it would have been an improvement over last season plus we are also sorting the house out beyond the pitch.

Still 31 games to go, 93 points to play for, that's huge, we will get back to winning ways, our win against Bristol was no fluke, they were unbeatable in 12 games and we beat them 3-0,deserved it too. Battered burton 5-0, again deserved, our wins against forest and Sunderland were very professional performances, we have definitely shown we can play well thus season, lasogga is on about 1 goal every 2 matches meaning he could get 20 goals this season. Saiz could end up with between a dozen and 20 goals himself, and even Phillips could reach double figures as well, we will do well this season!

    My perspective...FWIW

Forget where we are at in the table.

You proud of the way we are playing with the squad we have? we have some of the best talent in the championship. Arguably 3-4 prem players and a youth squad loaded with talent. Saiz is one of the best players in the league.

Getting beat at ER when we've controlled whole games?

it's actually more humbling that when we had some of Bate's deep discount squads. at least we were playing to our full potential and often well above our actual skill level.
