I wonder what would have happened if they had appointed Villas Boas instead of Brian. To be honest I felt Brian got the short end of the stick with no support staff left, two weeks of the transfer window left and the loss of Holden and Wilshere who had been due to come here but went to Bolton and a bunch of players who were Coyle lovers who didn’t cooperate.
I’m not saying he would have done what Sean has done, but if the players had behaved we could have stayed up - a win instead of a loss to Wigan would have been enough. But not everyone sees it my way.
