Playing three at the back is a non starter for us due to a lack of pace in G Mac and Evans and a lack of pace in the three man defensive midfield.

If we are to get out of this hole it'll be down to the "old guard" to save us in my opinion and by that I mean Brunt coming back in at left back and Dawson at right back when fit.

I've been dissapointed with Gibbs defensively,he looks too lightweight and I'd be inclined to play him wide left in midfield to offer pace and trickery going forward.

I can see Yacob being a mainstay in the coming weeks and Morrison getting in ahead of the Pole.

Our ineptitude at not bringing pace into the squad in the last few windows is staggering,it's okay buying the likes of Burke but if you're not going to play him then an experienced player with pace would be money better spent.

Our transfers since Ashworth left have been a car crash in the main.

Brunt,G Mac,Yacob and Morrison have got a long term legacy at our club to protect and they have the nous and b o l l o x to get us through this.

The bigger worry is that useless lump Rondon,him and J Rod just doesn't seem to work.
