Derek McInnes shouldn't be ruled out of this though.

Megson quite rightly gets the credit for our resurgence but McInnes was a massive factor too....a terrific captain who commanded huge respect and who has done well as a manager so far.

I think another person should also be contemplated...at some point Darren Fletcher will get a manager's job and we could do worse than tempt him back as player manager.

I would also consider Mowbray again,if he's learned lessons and can meld some defensive nous to his attacking innstincts then he's proved he is a talented manager albeit he did dump on us when leaving for Celtic.

I suspect I'll be underwhelmed by our choice as O'Neil gets unveiled.

Hoddle might turn up.....that'd be interesting!
