Thread: Huns at home

O'Hara has potential, which would mean our manager would need to actually be decent at coaching to bring it out of him. Aye, Cadden would cost too much, but we can dream. Maybe if we scouted outside of England we could find these players more easily though?

Not so sure about O'Hara, aside from his goals against the scum, is he that good?

The lad Cadden at Motherwell would cost too much

Agree about McGinn - definite upgrade on Greg Stewart who still looks overweight, which 5 months in to a season is unforgiveable and unprofessional, especially when he has no pace anyway
Stewart has great feet, just not sure he's being deployed in the right way. Think he's more of a number 10 than a winger.

Stewart is slow, not his fault just a fact. Spoke to a Dundee mate of mine. We are playing Stewart too deep. He needs to be further up the park. He beats men all the time but hasn't the pace to get away from them. If he was further up and more inside when he beats his man he would have a chance of a shot. Another example of |McInnes trying to shoehorn players into the wrong position unfortunately.

He's an old fashioned inside forward.

    Stands out a mile.

He's arguably been the biggest disappointment of all the summer signings.
He's not a winger - far too slow.
He seldom if ever puts in good crosses for the likes of May & Rooney.
Is he here for the season or just until January?
Pathetic that he's still clearly over weight having been back in training for 5 months.
Unprofessional - no way would I want us to sign him permanently

Greg Stewart has been asked to fulfil a role he's clearly not comfortable fulfilling. Like many of our players.

We have 2 genuine wingers in the squad - GMS and Wright. I don't think they have played together in the same match. It means McInnes has asked Stewart, McLean, Rooney etc to play out of position.

May and Rooney clearly won't work together because we never go with a straight 2 through the middle.

The tactics are bewildering and it means we're effectively playing with the handbrake on all the time.

For me, the team should be set up to maximise what we have in attack, because what we have in defence is extremely limited.

    I'd play:

    Lewis
    Logan Arnason McKenna Considine
    Shinnie McLean
    Wright Christie GMS
    Rooney

And just get the ball out wide and into the box for Rooney.

The sooner we sign either a proper left back and/or a proper ball winning midfielder who can also play a bit the better. We're complete pushovers in there. With McLean leaving we could actually do with signing 2 quality midfielders and pushing Shinnie back to left back - Considine is honking too.

Tansey is a charlatan and O'Connor is howling.

It's about time McInnes set the team up to achieve its potential instead of hamstringing ourselves with bizarre combinations of players and 3 at the back nonsense.

EDIT: I should say before anyone else does, that I know the team I have chosen still has deficiencies. I personally think, with a run of games and consistent selection, it is the best we can put out. Rooney is a complete waste of a jersey if you fail to service him properly, but a fantastic goalscorer with the right attacking combination behind him.

He didn't look overweight yesterday. As previously stated he is just feckin slow.No one apart from McInnes thinks he is a winger. He is an inside forward or number 10. Its not his fault he is being played out of position. He was far from the worst yesterday.

That effort he had where he dragged the ball away from the defender showed what he can do. All right, it was a ****e shot, but that's where the guy should be playing. Unfortunately that's also where Christie should be playing, so why the feck sign Stewart? He hasn't been great, but I don't blame him one bit. I also don't think he's overweight.

I see the huns have appealed Judas's red card. Now we all know the games a bogey but if that gets rescinded then they will obviously have given up trying to hide the fact. If that had been one of our players it would have been all over the back pages baying for retribution.
