Good points, 123. Gordon Brown's tenure of the Exchequer has hardly been noted by The Media. From it we had a £40billion surplus (if I remember right), which His Master Blair divided between Health and Education, but it was squandered by Ministers throwing money into the wrong Budgets. We should still have given Nurses decent salary raises, but the Ministry should then have graded NHS care for UK Residents that have paid into the Pot, and not allowed Immigrants (who have not been contributing) to claim the same privilege. This is what has caused Brexit. Also, I don't see any evidence that "EducationEducationEducation" has improved, seeing most kids by us seem to be playing out a day a week while "Teacher Training" takes place, or when it's a bit cold.

I was going to comment re Blair, highlighting the good he did weighed against the absolute sh ite he was also responsible for.

This was to give a balanced view of his tenure and suggest why he's not best liked but decided it's probably best not to get involved.

I'll keep to my subconscious self promise of avoiding in depth political or religious topics and bid this thread a fond farewell.

    Enjoy.
