I was about to disagree with that, but when Durnan goes for a wee daunder up the pitch, its not like anyone has a specific position to man when in attack. What i really like about the team now is that when Scobbie and Robson were up the park, McMullan and King busted a gut to get back to cover them while Livi regained possession.

As for McDonald, i though the second half he found his position in the team and might have provided Matty with a few goals on another day. Some of the runs he made where the ball seemed stuck to his feet should be noted by others in the team.

As for Fyvie, i hope the knee brace is precautionary and he is only out a few weeks.

The penalty miss was a pity, might have launched us to a 5-0 win (and the best goal difference in the league).
Agree with Spike about Harry being slow with the ball on a couple of occasions, I gave a wee shout at one point, 'get a move on Harry, you're breaking our momentum'. Not being critical tho, well I suppose I am, but overall he's 99%.

Think he's ****ed Chick & he can't get a scan til Wednesday.
McDonald went over to him when he was still down, asked the question & threw back his head when he got the answer.

we started slowly but scored at crucial times that allowed us to control the game imo. 2nd half we started very well. we had them pinned in their own half and unable to get out. we pummeled them for the first 10/15mins of the 2nd half. i think the penalty miss gave them a boost and slowly turned the game scrappy.

the formation change was a strange one. i was expecting either Flood or even Alladice to come on for Fyvie.
At the start of the 2nd half the change was working. mcdonald was hugley influential during that spell and smith/king and mcmullan were making good runs and the football was flowing but when the game became scrappy/flat we couldnt get that rhyme back.
Smith worked hard and done some decent things but was too lightweight and couldnt hold the ball up as well as Mcdonald was doing

its a big blow losing FF esp considering the game on friday but lets hope he isnt out for a long spell he has become a crucial player in shabbas team.

The only positive from not having Fyvie is the fact we won at Dumbarton and beat St Mirren at home without him, in those games it was Flood/Stanton with Matty Smith starting

It's a blow no doubt about that , since his fitness has improved has become the main man in midfield , wish him all the best with his recovery
