    The bottom line is.........

........ if you can't put the ball in the back of the net you are not going to win football matches. I've attended all home games plus four away games this season and we are no worse than another ten clubs in this division. That is, except in one department, we can't score goals. Rondon does a lot of good work but he isn't a goal scorer. Rodrigues and Robson- Kanu are in the same mould. The football has improved under Pardew but again with this one exception. Much as I admire him as a player we might have to sacrifice Jonny Evans and if we can get the £30 million that is being touted around, spend it on a proven goalscorer, if they'll come that is. Dawson could replace Evans with McCauley as back up or play McCauley and retain Dawson as a full back. I understand that we are interested in Glen Johnson and that would be a decent addition. One thing is for sure, Mr. Lai is not going to put his hands in his pocket!!

Following on from my original post, Mourinhoo has now come out and stated that he needs more money to keep up with Man. City. For goodness sake, he's already spent nearly £300 million on players. What about getting out on the training ground and working with the multi million pound players that he's already got? No, that's not as easy throwing more money at it. This sums up what is wrong with football today. As I've already stated where's the credit in this philosophy? There isn't any! Sorry this should have gone on another thread but the sentiments still apply.

And so, the money spent by 2/3/4 rival Companies has inflated The Game to even more ridiculous levels. This time next Year it'll be "We've only spent £500m", and so on and so on. Bah!

Mourhino said he wants another 300 million.
I wish the top 6 would bugger off to play in a European Super League that has been touted around in the past. Trouble is another "big 6" would probably emerge.
