He's said as much himself in his aftermatch interview it wasn't for a lack of trying though for people to question his attitude and desire was well out of order he's the consummate professional. I likened it to pulling a couple of goals back after bein 4 down,well if it was us we'd be taking positives from trying to get back into it for future games and England must do the same plenty should have been learned for the future hopefully and the new players will be better for the experience like TT says just need to find a decent spin bowler and we're back in the game who ever we play

Couldn't believe it, they had both weathered the early overs and looked set for a very productive day. Joe had just hit a trademark cut for 4 and looked well set. The only mitigating circumstance ( clutching at straws) was that Cummins got it just a bit faster , 87.5 mph, then anything that had gone before and it got to Joe a bit faster. when his thoughts should have been 'lead us not into temptation..............'.
As for the relative comeback the pundits were saying how, this time, the touring party has not split as last time
( Swann retired mid tour etc, should have been made to swim home) and there is a glimmer of light on a distant horizon.
