    Phil O'Donnell-10 yr anniversary

Can't believe it is 10 years since he died. Still one of my strangest days ever as a football fan, we had been played off the park that day. When Phil collapsed, I headed to the exit in disgust as we were boys playing against men. Driving past the stadium, I saw the ambulance leaving the ground. By the time I had driven home, news of his death was just breaking. The news left me completely stunned. I know that it is a massive cliche but it did really put football into perspective. RIP Phil O'Donnell. 🕊

I missed that game but went to the Rangers v United game at Ibrox shortly after that where they had a minutes applause for O’Donnell. It was pretty surreal and sad at the same time. Most of the Huns clapped but there were a few who sat with their arms folded refusing to clap because O’Donnell was a Tim. Even in moments like this they can’t let it go. Manky shower of fcukwits.

We were late getting to Motherwell for the game, listening to Sportsound on the way down, 1-0, 2-0 and just as we parked up 3-0
Got to the ground and the lad on the gate laughed at us for wanting to get in, and to his credit he let us in for free. Then the lad collapsed in the goalmouth and the game ended 4-3 iirc. Very strange day indeed.

5-1 down when he collapsed finished 5-3 horrible wet day. Young lads first game with his mate top tier front row. Found out on radio just driving out of motherwell. Thought he had down his cruciate or something and left just as game stopped. Was fuming at game but that all went when news came through.
