It went to this man, just to add to his burgeoning collection of titles and medals...

FFS BT, could you at least try to get your facts right for once. Bonnie Prince Charlie is not, and cannot be, the recipient of this prestigious award. In fact his is the office charged with deciding who his mum awards this gong to. Royalty does not need to stick it's regal snout into the nether regions of the hoi polloi, as you should well know, it's the other way round.

Away from the high profile few and the politicians getting awards like Nick Clegg, there are many who get recognition they deserve for devoting themselves to causes.

The 18 year old liver transplant recipient who devotes her life to promoting organ donation, the former homeless man who set up supports for them and organised the homeless Olympics, the professionals who have gone above and beyond such as Prof John Curtice who devised a new model for predicting election results that is much more accurate, around 1000 of these folk. That’s what this is really about.

Not worth a jot, Yes a few are rightly recognised for proper hard work and graft for others who are not looking for rewards or gratification, but the majority who get "recognised" certainly dilute the honour for the deservedly few.

Yes Sinkov the tw@t in the picture cannot get a gong, but does he need one with all his tittles after his name ? If you asked him he'd probably want one thinking he deserved it.

His Royal Highness Prince Charles Philip Arthur George, Prince of Wales, KG, KT, GCB, OM, AK, QSO, PC, ADC, Earl of Chester, Duke of Cornwall, Duke of Rothesay, Earl of Carrick, Baron of Renfrew, Lord of the Isles and Prince and Great Steward of Scotland.

That's not to mention his "so called" Military Honours".

There are a few people in this world that I would like to meet who have been honoured (burdened) but never will, but if ever I had the chance I'd jump at it, if that said person wanted to be addressed by his (given) title I'd quickly jump back and refuse, that's how strongly I disagree with all this Pomp and defragmented nonsense.
