Well the thing is that he made the mistake that directly gave away the goal.

Somebody quoted Eddie Gray yesterday on here - well Eddie said it in the commentary and was right - it was a goalkeeping error - he pushed the ball out directly to the attacker's feet - it wasn't a strong shot and it needed to be pushed away out of danger not right to the one place it was bound to become a goal.

Yes they all played pretty poorly, but that was the decisive factor in the point being lost.

If Lasogga had missed an open goal in the last minute at 0-0 you'd all be all over him - i just don't understand why a few people on here can't see the wood for the trees on this goalkeeper, or is just that to agree with WTF would invite criticism on you too (like it has on me?)

Don't care what they or anyone else thinks, but if anyone seriously thinks we can finish top 6 with that squad, they are delusional.

Have a glance around other boards etc. You'll find that Footymad is very much in the minority of those who support/defend our current No. 1 GK. Don't know why, other than the "blind loyalty" card that gets played so frequently.

    Hey ho, ALAW (oh yeah?)

He did push the ball out straight to the on rushing forward, it's not the first time and probably won't be the last, the whole team were poor, apart from saiz (as usual) when he came on, but we should have had a point......the difference in the championship to the even the lower premiership teams is quite frankly frightening......we are a million miles from competing, it's depressing.

Yep, I accept that it was very poor keeping, and without that error it would probably have finished 0-0. The bottom line is he's an average keeper in a slightly better than average Championship team.

I do wonder at some of TCs decisions though. Firstly not playing Saiz from the start (although he wasn't beyond criticism, there were a few times when he took 6,7,8 touches when a quick pass was the better option) - surely given the way we play the best approach would have been to really run at them from the start, try and get an early goal then play from there ? Also, was Phillips + Shaughnessy a better option than Phillips + Anita, or even Klich + Anita ? I worry that TC really does have his favourites, and struggles to see beyond them.

The most frustrating bit is a win today and we would have been 3 points off second place, a win against a poor bottom side, then a win against forest and we'd have been right there, now we're playing catch up again......always "if only"...

    Sigh...

But your right..an opportunity to get right in the promotion mix and as usual we fail to turn up..against the bottom side ffs!

Must beat Forest now to get back on track.

    agreed.

And it was a carbon copy of the mistake to give Leicester their first goal in the League Cup tie.
