Imagine those pesky fans walking to the ground, how dare they? Least you wont need to worry about that walking along a busy dual carriageway.
Having the AWPR in place is great, but as stated at the top, if you only have one road out and in, doesn't matter if you have a 10 lane bypass, its still going to be fun coming and going.

Do you just opt to ignore the downsides?
No, I accept the downsides and look to how they will impact and how they can be countered.

It's laughable to suggest the one road in / out argument.
there is only one road in / out from the parking at the ground on Pittodrie Street.
As mentioned above, people would park at Lawsondale, Arnhall, Prime 4, Kingswells P&R and maybe even further into Westhill, just like the many that park further away from Pittodrie that is put across as a positive for staying at Pittodrie in here.

I'll be taking the P&R bus to try it out and take in the day at the ground, if it's not great, I'll probably end up driving and park at Lawsondale (no dual carriageways to walk along). If the A944 is exceptionally busy, I'll cut across to the A96 and join at the Stoneywood juntion. Those going south can cut across to Peterculter and join there.
There are plenty of options if you want to look for them, you just need to be open to looking at alternatives as opposed to a singlar blinkered viewpoint.

I cant remember during the last few years of buying a season ticket, did anyone actually approach me and ask me what I want in a stadium and where it should be.
Now granted, I am only one person, but, if they actually gave a fvck, they might just do this, you know, to gauge opinion.

Thing is, they don't care one jot about us. We are told to pay our money and the board will move OUR club to wherever the fvck they want to, as long as its a nice cheap deal for them.

We are then all expected to just get behind it.

Well, unlike Gallus and his like, I personally am not behind Aurora, and would rather we asked the people who have kept the club going for the past 115 years, what they actually wanted.
There have been many opportunities to provide feedback and engage in open discussions with the club.
You're entitled to your opinion, and it was your choice to make your opinions known to the club at the many opportunities or not.

How many times have you heard "this is our only option" ? You honestly think they give two fvcks about what fans think?

Some grounds I have been to are f@cking miles away and a bit of a c@nt to get too (usually catered for at the ground with more than a solitary bar I might add). But even older grounds like De Kuip, and Ernst Happel. Pittodrie is an ideal location. Im not saying to stay there but I am saying the club did not look into anything but having everything in one place. Which was not imperative but they made it out to be hence why we are potentially heading to a non fan friendly location

No research has gone into the cons of miles away grounds by the club, astounding considering we are poorly supported in the first place. We cant afford for our crowds to potentially drop further. But I suppose who care about the fans. Its all about Milnes golden goodbye
Did you realise, that when Pittodrie was initially built, it was outside the city as well.
It was not built on an available bit of land within the existing housing

The club adopt a simIar approach to you on this. Opinions are fine, unless you disagree with it. Then it’s fingers in the years yelling na na na na na

Do you have a more cost effective solution?

If you do, I'm sure the club would be interested?
If you don't, then they've potentially heard the concerns from other sources and given due consideration before determining what's best for the club as opposed to individuals

Costs didn't come into the initial argument. i was talking about whether or not i was asked if i wanted to move my club to the outside of the city.
You stated that i could voice my opinions to the club as they have been very open with the discussions.
As Mason says, they are only interested in your opinion if it matches theirs, other wise, sit down and shut up.....

They dont give a fvck about the fans or their concerns. This is what they want, and they will do all they can to push it through, regardless whether its the best option or not.

One thing is for sure, it is certainly the CHEAPEST option, and that appeals to Mr Milne.....
