Exactly, his knowledge of why things have derailed for us in the last couple weeks is zero, he was a babbling idiot today the whole lot of them with Gordon and Miller are heel bent on kicking us
The impact that the Fyvie and Fraser injuries have had its massive on top of other injuries and other little things all add up
Positive today is we took a point, kept a cleansheet with a much more balanced team selection, now have a break from the league before an important period that will determine whether we can close the gap or are just making sure of second
It's crap that we currently find ourselves 8 behind (with the game in hand and them to come to Tannadice) but there have been mitigating circumstances which has disrupted us significantly as it would any other side in the league St Mirren included
Two weeks until Morton at home which is a must win (with St Mirren at Dunfermline), the whole mood and feel about the place will improve a lot if things go for us that weekend but we can concentrate on Alloa away first in the big cup (1994 + 2010)
i agree with the original post in parts.
we have stopped the rot after last weeks shocking performance and a 0-0 draw away to 3rd place team isn't a bad result all things considered. losing Fyvie and Fraser has put us out of our stride
however we do need to get back on track quickly. the whole reason we finished 3rd last year was that after the new year our form plummeted. if we can get back to winning ways soon then the title isn't over (no matter what chick young and the rest of the sportsound "experts" think) st mirren arent celtic, they will drop points but united need to get the sort of consistency we had when CL came in. this means performances (mainly away form) improving, signings stepping up.
the main thing is not to throw the towel in so early! still plenty to play for but needing united to step up!
No just facts
We are in doodoo if we stay down but you can't ignore why things have fell away, today stopped the rot that was last week, not pretty not amazing but a solid enough 0-0 at a form team, we don't need panic merchants spreading negativity even further around the place with the quitter mentality, that's not going to help, chill out is what some need to do
We have Scottish cup weekend next week
The weekend after, we must beat Morton, if so that gap may well be cut, it's all ifs however should it materialise we may just kick on, nothing is lost and unlike some I think promotion is achievable via play offs if we finish 2nd
Good post Darren, the only bit of sense other than myself and ttt on the thread
That was ****in dire today.... how some of those players pick up a wage for being professional footballers baffles me... 0-0 in a game we needed to win and it's pass back after pass back...no fight no desire..stopped the rot,yer having a laugh....only reason we never got beat was Dunfermline were equally as pish....
It'll need to be played far better than today then...
