    Doesn't inspire much confidence
Is James a forward? (Never seen him play)

Both teams played strong sides, but their first team players were much more influential than ours,Zander Diamond and the other experienced centre back (AidenWhite) totally dominated Muskwe and Kayode.

Wiles, Bray Taylor and Warren were over powered and out paced by a good strong and very determined Mansfield midfield ! Including Will Atkinson, and the excellent Omari Sterling James who scored an hat trick.

Up front they had the excellent Lee Angol who we struggled to contain.

Our first team fringe players did look like reserves Cummings Bray, lkhwe, Taylor, Purrington, and there was none of them pushing for a first team start !

Overall we were easily second best but equalised in the last minute through a second excellent Warren corner and they went down field and scored the winner from a massive defensive mix up with our goalie Ikhwe and another defender getting in each other’s way and leaving an empty net for Sterling James to prod home, very, very reminiscent of what the first team were doing early on in the season.

By the way I would take Sterling James and Angol in our squad any day.

I agree, we were far too lightweight.

Not much to suggest that the youth system we have is paying it's way.

Perhaps we could persuade Evo to do a swap deal for JCH 😊

Kids vs Steve Evans and people are moaning

Do people exspect 11 ranaldos in academy?

It’s good experience for the kids atm moan in 3 years that we have no results because that’s how long it may take

No obviously we don’t, but the academy is a considerable expense and it has to have value. It’s not a charity that keeps kids off the street, it needs an end product. So far there’s been nothing and the indicators are that there’s nobody coming through that has any realistic chance of getting into the first team.

Sorry but it isn't. We don't have official academy status, whatever that means.
Unfortunately our youth development system isn't at all successful but, in fairness, that's actually the case with most league clubs.
