Defour has seen a specialist about the injury, which has kept him out of action for a couple of weeks.
Scans show the 29-year-old has suffered cartilage damage and had been an ever-present in the Premier League this season.
He will require an operation on his injured knee and could be out for a ‘couple of months.

    Update
Ward and Tarks supposedly OK after today
Sean unsure if Defour will get back this season

Why are there so many knee problems this year - any ideas?

I have just raised this on another thread.

During SD's time here we seem to have had a huge amount of knee injuries. I am certain that the backroom staff are looking at the reasons for this.

Without doubt our players are asked to be more physical than other teams...perhaps it is a result of this?

Defour has had some heavy tackles and I think two reds given for two of them, I suspect he was targeted. Brady didn’t need to go in for that tackle. Not sure what Ward and Wood did, though Wood got some heavy duty stuff from opponents too.

Yes, but over the last few years we have lost loads through knee injuries since Sean arrived.

Long, Marney, Vokes etc. In fact, Jay Rod and Ings were injured very soon after leaving us.

Instead of listing who is injured it might be better listing who isn't!

Anybody got a bottle of something for curing the totally debilitating affection known as "Wood's Mard Arse Disease"?

BT, perhaps you should take this up with SD?

If you REALLY think that Wood is swinging the lead, and Sean is unaware of it, you have a duty to tell him.

    Good luck!

The Dyche dark side is not something to mess with 1959-60. Defour could not get a game last season now we can't live without him.

Wood may or may not be injured but his girlfriend seems to have a lot to say for herself. Been down this road before!
