    There is no doubt that Rankin is enthusiastic and non stop but as a spoiler/disrupter of the opposition play rather than creating anything for the team. That role is needed but should it be at the expense of any creativity is the question I am trying to put across here? Most teams do have a player doing this role but again most of them do bring something else in addition to simply trying to stop the opposition.

    On the verge of contoversy i was pleased when we got thomson in but i dont think hes had the same impact as last season

    I've often thought that Jacobs and Rankin are both doing the same job in breaking up play.
