It's not an either/or scenario though. No reason why folk couldn't still get tickets posted or pick up from the shop.

But as they insist that PATG isn't an option then maximising potential sales by offering simple-to-use technology that's already working elsewhere is a no-brainer. Get the guy sitting in the pub a couple of hours before the game to get his phone out and buy a ticket there and then when he thinks about it - before the thought of wandering all the way down to queue at the shop for a ticket puts him off.

Not really. He’ll need more than a couple of hours to wander along to the game in future. That type of customer simply won’t exist anymore

    Fcuk me.
I take a break for a couple of weeks and still the same negative posters about everything.

To the points above, what other entertainment allows you to PATG?
How do the current people with no phones / poor knowledge of their smart phones manage when they want to buy tickets for an event?

You guys are making such a straw man argument, it’s laughable really

Football is different from your Beiber gigs.

Dinnae be daft. More than a couple hours

Who decides 20 minutes before a game of fitbaw if they are going or not? Not many.

Indeed, they already have the option to order tickets online, even accessible from a smartphone for those that have them.
It’s entirely pheasible that by the time the stadium is built, they’ll also incorporate a QR code system, Apple Pay or any other payment method, so you can book in the pub (should you desire) and then go straight to the gate.
No point for outplaying costs to incorporate that at the moment.

I don’t go to Beiber gigs, if you don’t either then you have Beiber and football in common
I asked for any other entertainment business. Cinema? Bowling?, comedy gigs?
None of them are PATG as you refer to at football.

There are costs and risks associated with PATG, which is why it is being streamlined out.
Unfortunately, you’ll need to get with the times if you want to partake.

All 3 of your examples can be paid for on the door.
