Bit puzzled after some of the comments on this thread.
If some people are saying the players didn't like SE and therefore didn't want to play for him them how did he manage to win all those matches, get us promoted twice and extract every ounce out of the players to keep us in the C'ship.
If the players hated him and couldn't be bothered then how did he turn it around after HT at Wembley?

There might be some P'boro players who are dreading his appointment and that's because they've been underachieving since autumn (they were top for quite a few weeks I seem to recall) and he's been brought in to give them a kick up the rear

Steve Evans now saying, he wasn't stopping at Mansfield, he had a job abroad to go to, but happens to be now with his old mate Fry.

Love or hate Evans, he did a job for the Millers, also got Mansfield up the league into heading for a promotion spot.
Evans way seems to work, he carries on perhaps leaving a few crashes on his way, but gets the results from his managerial attitude.
