I'm not convinced by the manager whatsoever. The whole Robson at right back, Scobbie at left back when we have a right back on the bench that we've pulled back from a loan deal, signing players who clearly are nowhere near good enough and some of his team selections and tactics have me completely baffled. If we don't go up he has to go imo. We've lost 17 points to St.Mirren since he came in. That's ****ing outrageous.

I desperately want MM to turn things around and hope to phuck he is the real deal. He's gave good pressers so far and said all the right things and I'm 100% happy to "suck it and see" where we go with this.

I do have 1 bit of nagging doubt however.

There has simply been too much going on at our club recently for this to be as straightforward as it seems - the only thing that has actually changed in the past few weeks/months id that MM shareholding has increased off the back of Justine Mitchell selling her shares, we have appointed him as chairman and we have sold off completely a club asset to him.

ST is still the owner. We have had some talk of him selling his shareholding and no longer being involved with the club (which is what 99% of our support want) but that's all it is at the moment - talk. it wouldn't be the first time the snake has said one thing and done another now would it. His right hand man for years has moved up, ST has dropped a ceremonial title.

I've got a sneaking suspicion that this is all a big PR exercise and that we will have Season Ticket renewal notifications coming through soon to co-incide with the new "feel good factor" brought about by this change. I really do think it could be as simple as that. I think the club really needs a cash injection soon and is hoping it comes from season ticket pre-sales boosted by the illusion of a new regime.

I also have a fear that the GA sale was little more than removal of assets from the club's umbrella in preparation for an administration event which may not look likely now, (certainly if you take MM at face value which I have no real reason not too) but may become a real concern if we stay down and then don't go up with what we have already been told will be a severely reduced budget and the same manager who is currently floundering despite being handed a large budget in January...

For all the re-assuring talk about no admin there is a really worrying statement in his courier interview saying that the sale of Gussie was to pay off debt but also "to provide working capital until the end of the season." This clearly indicates that the club was, prior to the sale of the GA, not in a position to meet it's financial obligations this season. We have staved that off by selling an asset, but we have none left to sell now so what do we do when whatever is left from that sale runs out?

It's perhaps a reflection on the state of the relationship between club/board/fans that I even suspect this sort of stuff but I don't think any of the above is too outlandish. Would be interested to see what everyone else thinks of my points above.

No Arab would ever come out with that nonsense "always" and as for not being good enough to stay up if promoted, we wouldn't have the same team, why do some people not get that obvious fact, getting up is the main thing then the rest we can worry about after

Oh and cheers noah for the tip

Why would MM invest in buying 33% food a club if he expects administration...?

It will never be the time to talk about amalgamation. It shouldn't happen.

I'm (slightly) softer on sharing facilities - take passion out of it and it makes a great deal of business sense, but for me to swallow it, it really would need to be a 50/50 venture, not us renting a fun property/facility with Fun branding, dark blue seats and all that ****.

As for Shedka's ramblings - I can't really make sense of his post and I'm glad he has me on ignore - it means he won't reply with his usual nonsense and we might get some rational debate. What has Noah (a fun poster) got to do with this?

I know he'll still read this so for his benefit - I would put you on ignore as well pal, but I've never let someone on an internet forum get to me so much before that I resort to childish nonsense like that xxx

I don't think he expects administration and he probably fancies our chances of avoiding it. He's a Utd fan and, like us all, will prefer to look on the bright side and be optimistic. Make no mistake, the courier interview is on the whole positive, but right in the middle of it there is the statement that if, as looks extremely likely, the club fail to get promotion this season, we are looking at another round of cuts across the club.

We are hemorrhaging money now by the sound of it and still can't put a decent side on the park. His own words are staying in this division is "very penal from a financial perspective." - that's not saying we will need to trim costs slightly, that's saying a large scale cut back across the club. he then gives the usual platitudes about striking the balance between cutting costs and putting out a competitive side but we've heard all this before - we have seen what the budget we have can get you in this division - I don't want to see what a reduced budget will get us if I'm honest, particularly not with the manager we currently employ.

In his own words, he has bought the GA to provide working capital - working capital, by definition is "the capital of a business which is used in its day-to-day trading operations. Working Capital = Current Assets - Current Liabilities." In other words, the club on its own at the moment does not have enough money to meet it's financial obligations and required the sale of one of our last remaining assets in order to service debt and fund us through to the seasons end.

If he was so confident in the ability of the club to function going forward and completely avoid administration then why take the GA as security against what he is effectively calling an interest free loan. Why not, if he is so confident in the long term viability of the business, simply inject the cash as an interest free loan without any collateral as many other wealthy fans have done?

I'd guess this is because he wants to do 2 things -

    1. Secure his investment and ensure he gets a return no matter what - if the club goes into admin he has ownership of an asset which he can use to generate income for himself or sell.

    2. Protect GA from being lost in any admin event through compulsory sale - He is Utd daft by all accounts, so in the event of an administration there is no chance of GA being permanently lost to the club - it's his. He'll simply wait for any CVA to go through, step in and buy the club for a pound (or wait for new owners to buy it) and allow the club free use of his facility (or charge a modest rent to cover his costs) as the club rebuilds. When we are back in the top flight again, and maybe start turning a profit, he can sell the GA back into the club at his will.

As it stands Tannadice and GA are owned/controlled by sympathetic creditors - if the club goes into admin these assets are secured by Utd people, so won't be lost to the club, when the CVA etc is resolved they will (hopefully) simply allow the club use of facilities with a view to re-selling to the club down the line...

Theres a lot of negativity and stigma around administration - some of it due to the Sevco fiasco (which was a whole different level and involved liquidation), and a lot of it due to us lording it over the fun and Sevco and not wanting to lose face, but it genuinely could be a positive thing for the club if we are confident we can push through ha CVA with all of our key assets protected by sympathetic owners.

It will NEVER be the time to discussion amalgamation.

We are actually more than the sum of our parts.

United’s history and loyal support provides more than a new single team in dundee could

You are called ‘always’ an Arab yet your post suggests the end of Dundee United.

I’d say you are more likely ‘never’ an Arab 😂
