In fairness to the disallowed goal he actually awarded the goal it was the linesman who disalllowed it. I read his lips as they walked off telling Vaulks "I didn't see it but I have to take my assistant's word'
Interestingly the disallowed goal hasn't been shown iduring any of the highlights shows which usually indicates a bollak as been dropped.

That's where I sit too, WS 2. to be honest I didn't see the linesman give the decision or shake his head I was busy celebrating. I'm sure that's what the ref was telling Vaulks as they walked off. I was 60/70 yards away though so I'm not forced to be right.

I’m currently reading Howard Webb’s autobiography and it certainly opens your eyes as to how difficult a job it is.

Webb openly admits that he often made decisions based on his gut instinct and if it was wrong then he got marked down and would be allocated lower profile games.

    Loyal

I was so relieved when we scored that I cheered and took a big swig of beer. The advantage we have with ifollow is that we can rewind and watch back any part of the game.

It wasn't good and the refs position seem to have had a player in line of sight between him and the action so he couldn't have seen it and still he gave it. Too many ands in that sentense I know

First card was one of their subs warming up off the pitch, then wood & another player of theirs I believe.
2 yellows each I believe, Wood and Newell for us

We keep moaning about the refs as well, it seems like they are getting worse every season and some of them are ex Prem refs.
Do the FL care though about their consistent levels of incompetence ?, no of course they don't.

I can't think that they don't care Acico. If they don't at the top pf the EFL then they shouldn't be in the position they're in.

I think that they should fund every club in the country to bring referees through inconjunction with their youth set up. They would be exposed to the training of the teams and referee on a daily basis not just saturdays and a tuesday or Wednesday evening.

You'd get fitter referees this way and referees with knowledge of the way clubs run and the importance of what a bad decision does to the clubs moral afterwards.
