That the family's second car Ziles. His car is the company car which he could replace with his own car since the company car is such a financial burden.

With this company car being such a burden the best answer seems to be to drive your own car to and from work and use a designated works vehicle for work purposes. I sure your sensitive clients that must be driven around in luxury would understand that you need your tools of the trade in the boot.
Yeah right SB, I'll drive down to Northampton in the morning then, pick up a works van ( that we don't have) load up my gear, drive back to Taddy, carry out the SI, drive back to Northampton to drop off the van, drive home again.

Alternatively you could drop the working class hero attitude, accept that your prejudices in respect of company cars not being this massive tax fiddle you think they are is incorrect, and accept that most folk who drive them don't get them as a perk but as a tool of their job.

    But I'm sure you won't.

    It's not a motability vehicle, it's my wife's car.
And what we earn and what we own has got nowt to do wi you, this thread, or this board.

This particular debate started because SB thinks that company cars/ medical insurance are some kind of tax fiddle. My informing him that they're not, and are a potential tax burden to the user may have been received by someone with less of a chip on their shoulder as a bit of info they didn't know about.

I learned at an early age that if you want nice things you have to earn them, not claim them because you're entitled to something paid for by the strain of someone else's back. Sadly in this day an age folk that think like me are in the minority.

But what if replacing a company car with your own private car was an even bigger financial burden why would you do that

Sadly ESR it doesn't seem to be sinking in with certain posters, I won't lose any sleep over it though.

I was sure you said it was Tadcaster you had to get to.
    Wrong again.

    Yours,
Working Class Hero (I quite like that, thank you)

Not the old attack on benefit scroungers.
You keep bearing the burden of having a company car. Middle Class Hero.

That's exactly right ESR, you wouldn't,
you would choose the cheapest option or the most convenient surely but then stop moaning about the tax burden of a company car if that's your choice

Thats been my point all along ESR. All these company car users must see some financial advantage in having a company car rather than using their own or they would, indeed, all be opting not to bother with the company car.

I agree with Ziles, Working Class Hero.

Anyway, al leave it theear as I am not capable of understanding the subtle issues involved.

Clearly not SB, I attempted to answer a genuine misconception from a long standing poster on here with an answer based on my personal experience. The fact that the reality doesn't align with your bigoted view on the subject seems to have wound you up, much to the delight of your friend 'Ziles' who couldn't wait to jump onto the bandwagon.

As you can't speak from personal experience and I can maybe it would have been better for you to listen and learn.

As for me being middle class, you know nothing about me, or my background. I'm as far from being middle class as you are, but I'll leave it there because it's pointless interacting with someone who clearly knows it all even when they don't.

I won't respond to your posts again SB on this or anything else. I wish you well.
