“Something must be done” about players stopping play by pretending to be injured. Wycombe will come straight back down if they go up.
0-0 nearly finished. This and the Exeter result means it’s play offs for Notts. Nowt to fear off these two.
I don’t believe much has changed with tonight’s results TBH. Wycombe still need to drop points in 2 games, with one loss as a minimum. Exeter need to lose a game. Notts need to win all 3.
Do I think it will happen? No.
However, the 2 results tonight mean that we are well and truly embedded in the playoffs, with room for error. No pressure on Notts now.
Exeter and Wycombe however, have more to lose with the carrot of automatics well and truly there. The pressure might mean they both trip up.
Here’s hoping
Hope Exeter can get automatic promotion ahead of crappy Wycombe as they are a horrible team and absolutely stink the place out every single game, hopefully Notts would batter them in the play offs.
Accrington tonight get their highest attendance of the season 3176
With Stanley getting promoted tonight it will be a case of ‘after the Lord Mayors show’ for them on Saturday which unfortunately means they will lose to Wycombe.
Agree with others that if we are in playoffs would rather face Wycombe, Lincoln & Coventry than Exeter now.
Looking odds on that it'll be a semi-final against either Lincoln or Coventry. Think either would be very tight/hard fought.
Still not worth totally giving up on third, anyway. If we can beat Yeovil and Grimsby then we only need Wycombe to drop points in one of their two games to take it to the last day, when pressure can really have an impact and you never know what might happen.
I've seen pretty two pretty dreadful Notts sides go away to teams who needed a win for promotion right at the end of the season and win in the last decade or so (one at Wycombe, one at Doncaster), no reason why someone else can't do the same.
