Bournemouth are surviving with a similar sized ground
Anyone who was at Wigan on Saturday should see that as an example of why we don't presently need to expand. It looked empty.
9600 (1200 of them millers) in a 20000 stadium looks and feels dead and empty. 9500 in a 12000 looks better and creates a better atmosphere.
And god help South Yorkshires finest with an exit strategy if there are are potentially more fans to inconvenience !!!![]()
Some very good points there squirt. At present there is absolutely no economic case to be made for expansion.
Invest in the team, the stadium is just fine and is never full unless it's a pre season friendly against the Blades or Wednesday.
All the loan players will be gone close season unless Warne gets Fulham to let Rodak stay another year. Then again Rodak may get the offer to play at a bigger stadium and take it up. This is where the money will be needed.

I don't agree with the comments about Wigan's ground being too big for them.
They got 9k because they were playing unattractive opposition (RUFC) in Div One.
They've attracted 15-16k in the c'ship before when they weren't in a relegation season.
That would look much healthier.
Could we we do that with a solid C'ship team? Not sure
Agree with Brin. Rarely full so leave it at the moment.
Tony Stewart didn't say he would upgrade if it got to 8K.
He said he would look at upgrading......big difference.
It's been costed and I'm guessing it's not cost effective atm or when it gets to 8K for a few seasons.
Get established mid-table in the Championship and then cost it again.
