Harsley appears to be happy working with the Under 23's does a very good job too,
Doubt very much the fans taking to him as HC, he would be seen as a cheap option by many !!

You make your point well animal, when you put it like that I'm tempted i wont lie. No doubt be able to attract the up an comers of the utd team as well so i can see the ups.

We have had successes promoting from within and successes likes bin said with good ex pro's who know the game. But weve just been relegated, were looking to appoint a manager who can come in and get this ship organised and ready for what next season will chuck at us. An experienced head needed who knows the league but is young and ambitious. Theres a few, and then there's macca as well. Tho folk say he'll not come and a dont see why not. Ad go for them first. And the garlic chewers last. After interviewing sutcliffe or crippen. Cant see what some french nomark gives us a really don't.

We'll end up with a foreign unknown most likely. Goat hair ent a clue.

My choice is Mick McCarthy and if they ed owt abart em they'd push the boat art miles to get him in as MANAGER and give him licence to do his stuff. No chance o that happening I know but we'll never have a better opportunity to get him here than this. Clubs crying art for summat like this at this moment in time. Theres a lot of people who are losing interest
What I saw when I read the article in the mirror link pass was this .

It wasn't the fact that United turned the game against City around in the second half , what stood out for me was that Carrick as a 35 year old bit player was able to stand up in a dressing room full of extremely highly paid players with ego's and have his say and see a response .

The lad clearly commanded respect despite not playing much these days and contributing .

That spoke volumes for me because if he had another personality or went about it the wrong way they would have told him to feck off such is some of the strong personalities at clubs like united .

Jose lost the dressng room bankend , pretty quickly by the sound of it .

I'm only speculating when I say this but that suggests to me a number of strong personalities within the group safe in the knowledge they are on contracts with maybe two years to run .

The first job is to get that dressing room sorted because some french dude as you say may not get that respect .

We go down the experienced route and may get it , but who ?

A credible lad with more medals than you can shake a stick at grabs the attention .

No fecker is going to challenge him when he's the best player in training and comes across the right way .

That dressing room needs sorting asap , these young players need someone they can relate to and look up to .

He's worth a good chat and sounding out at least in my opinion .

I don't know too much about him roma so it's difficult to form a credible opinion .

We knew Hecky because he played for us and initially he got the job on a see how you go basis .

It's a bit different this although the guy may well be a good choice for all I know .

I will ask, would we have been better off giving the job to Paul Harsley, when Hecky left us ?.

He's a very good coach , not sure he would want or be suited as HC , possibly Assistant HC but doubt it would be here , Always been impressed with his handling of the 23s games , somebody on here mentioned Jack Walton being next seasons No1 Goalie , good shout and deserves his chance , I reckon we may have an even better one soon Jake Greatorex , one to watch out for in my opinion

Not really because the squad he had to work with wasn't good enough and you can only do what you can do .

I'll help you out acido , Stuart McCall , Graham Alexander , Darren Ferguson , Uwe Rosler , Neil Redfern and John Sheridan are all experienced and realistic targets .

Any thoughts on the above .

Is that a negative comment about the messiah-tyke from you there eh Animal (and yes Im talking about Heckybum here lol).
Ok look, we're not in favour of Paul Harsley are we, so what or who do we want in what is a massive pre-season for us ?.
Should we go for an English manager or coach again with a knowhow of the Efl ?.
